Mia and the Watermelon Song

We learned this song at the Swenson Family Reunion this Summer and the girls have been singing it lately.

Lucy's Bottle

Eating

I made oven fries the other night and Leila insisted that I take a picture of this french fry so that she could always remember it because there may not be a fry ever again like this one. I had to laugh and think maybe I should make oven fries a little more often. Love you Leila!

Trick-or-Treat

Every year we trick or treat with friends, Claire and Page.
Mia as Cinderella, Lucy the cheerleader.

Candy! and I am assuming the background is what sugar does to kids' brains.

Horsie ride.

The first door.

Ward Halloween Party

The Saturday before Halloween there was a party at our church.
Getting ready to walk the runway.

Lucy just "walked" the runway and it looks like we forgot to wash her face after her Chili dinner. Oops.

Lucy's first taste of candy and she is not letting go of that. She is a third child for sure. I would have had that out of our first baby's hand in no time, but I have to admit it was kind of cute how Lucy was enjoying everything along side her sisters.

Getting ready to dance.

Sam was our photographer. Mia a ladybug. Leila a ballerina. Lucy a cheerleader. and Erica pregnant. I had a few people confused at the party.

Aahhhh! Vampires!!!!!

Moments Around the Typical Swenson Home

Coloring Time

Dance Time (and of course you need a dance floor)

New clothes and dress-ups came in the mail today from my good friend, Sierra and her husband and mom. Thanks, they look great! Mia also has taken over Leila's backpack when it is not with Leila at school.  I have to remember to empty it every morning otherwise Leila could be taking some pretty embarrassing things to school without even knowing it.

This is the pumpkin that grew in our backyard garden, proving that they are very hearty considering our neglect!

I have a feeling that it is going to get increasingly more difficult for Sam to do anything in the bathroom as the girls grow older. Maybe two bathrooms should be a priority.

Proposition 8

I finally got to the website to support proposition 8. I signed up to make phone calls, write a letter to the editor and to put a sign in our yard. I am excited for them to get back with me. (I also ordered my Obama car magnet and yard sign)

Go Prop 8! and Go Obama!

9onF

These are currently my pick for my ultimate dream home and of course to go with this home I would like Sam to have a job right down the street that he could walk or bike to.

We have been really blessed with excellent, amazing friends. Our friends are working on this project, which is another awesome green project. I love their "slogo":

Dream Big.
Live Small.
Do Good.

Teaching Spanish

Leila really wants to learn Spanish and so we are going to go for it. Does anyone have any good suggestions as to websites, books, methods, songs,  etc... that are good for teaching Spanish to Leila and Mia?
