Sacramento Temple Primary Activity

The kids' Primary all met at the Sacramento Temple to do a temple walk. Before walking around we all met in a grassy area and sang "I Love to See the Temple". I (Erica) had to hold back tears as the vision of these young children becoming strong leaders, priesthood holders, mothers, fathers etc... became more clear in my mind. The spirit was so strong.

All of the children received a bingo like card with stickers and as we walked around and learned about the temple the kids placed the stickers in the appropriate square.

Afterwards they all gathered in the grassy area again and had snacks and reviewed some of the things that they learned.
All of the children were quite reverent. I am glad that they could have this great activity for the children and that we could have a temple so close to home. (We also thought of Rob and Kristy's wedding here and the upcoming wedding of Mick and Jessica).

The Lake

Have we mentioned that there is a lake right by our house? This is a beach area that is just a 10 minute drive from home. The kids enjoyed digging in the dirt and playing in the water. Sam's good friend Adam and two of his kids joined us from Berkeley. We enjoyed the extra company and it also allowed us to get our canoe in the water. This was it's first voyage of the season. Lucy particularly liked the canoe and called it "my boat".

Getting Ready for Baby Girl

Making a bird mobile for baby girl.  Still thinking up names and have yet to agree on one.

Swing Set

The kids have really been enjoying our backyard in the new house. Here is Mia and Lucy enjoying the swing set. Mia gets herself going and gets going high. Lucy is also starting to figure it out a bit. It helps to have two older sisters to learn from.

Going Private

I think that I am going to have our blog go private so that I don't have to be weary of putting names, locations etc... Let me know if you want in. Thanks.

Afternoon at the Park

This park is a few blocks from our home we like to walk there on free days. On Thursdays Leila gets out of school early and double bonus- no homework today!!! So, we walked over to the park and the girls had a "lazy" afternoon at the park- "fishing", digging up worms, watching a tadpole, picking flowers, petting neighborhood dogs that come for walks and munching on dried mango and caramel rice cakes... all of the truly wonderful things in life. Oh and I realized after getting home from the park that today was Earth Day and so I was happy to know that we spent the afternoon enjoying the Earth.

And to think what a blessing it will be to have another girl to join these wonderfully beautiful sisters!

FHE Treats

We had delicious Trader Joes Mint Chip Ice Cream Sandwich bites for our FHE treat and they were pretty messy. The pics don't quite cover it. Leila was pretty bad too, but she was already brushing her teeth by the time the camera came out.
